About Highland Hunter Green Shaker
Highland Hunter Green Shaker cabinets — what to know
The style
Why homeowners pick it
Hunter Green is Highland's saturated forest-green painted shaker — bold without crossing into trendy. A confident choice for kitchens that want a true color statement, most often used on islands and butler's pantries paired with neutral perimeter cabinets.
Construction
How Hunter Green Shaker is built
Highland's American face-framed construction. Drawer boxes are dovetailed solid wood with 1/2" thick sides riding on full-extension undermount soft-close steel slides — they pull out completely and lift off for cleaning. Doors are full-overlay 5-piece birch wood on a birch wood face frame, hung on 6-way adjustable hidden hinges with soft-close. The cabinet box is 1/2" plywood reinforced with metal “L” brackets, with 3/4" stretchers on the back and a 4-1/2" recessed toe kick. All interiors get a clear-coat UV finish.
South Florida fit
How it works in our climate
Saturated greens read richer under bright Florida light than they do in northern showrooms — what looks loud in a catalog photograph reads sophisticated under sun. We pair Hunter Green with warm metal hardware to keep it from skewing too formal.
Pairings
Countertops, hardware, and where it fits
Pairs handsomely with Calacatta white quartz, marble, antique brass or unlacquered brass hardware, and natural wood floors. Strong fit for Palm Beach, Boca Raton, and Manalapan estate homes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Highland Hunter Green Shaker
Is Highland Hunter Green too trendy for new construction?
Hunter Green has been the strongest saturated-color trend in kitchens for several years and shows no sign of slowing. It's more durable as a trend than coral or teal but less neutral-safe than gray or white.
Should I do Highland Hunter Green on the perimeter or island only?
Island-only is the safer resale move. Full-perimeter Hunter Green works in homes designed around the color but narrows the future buyer pool.
What countertops work with Highland Hunter Green?
White or warm-veined marble (Calacatta), Calacatta-look quartz, or soapstone. Avoid cool gray quartz — it clashes with the warm green.
