About Highland White Shaker

Highland White Shaker cabinets — what to know

The style

Why homeowners pick it

Classic White Shaker is Highland's flagship — the most-installed cabinet style in Palm Beach County. A clean true white painted shaker that goes with virtually any countertop, hardware finish, and flooring choice.

Construction

How White Shaker is built

Highland's American face-framed construction. Drawer boxes are dovetailed solid wood with 1/2" thick sides riding on full-extension undermount soft-close steel slides — they pull out completely and lift off for cleaning. Doors are full-overlay 5-piece birch wood on a birch wood face frame, hung on 6-way adjustable hidden hinges with soft-close. The cabinet box is 1/2" plywood reinforced with metal “L” brackets, with 3/4" stretchers on the back and a 4-1/2" recessed toe kick. All interiors get a clear-coat UV finish.

South Florida fit

How it works in our climate

True whites hold their tone under bright Florida light when the paint is UV-cured. Classic White stays consistent from morning to afternoon glare without yellowing across the kitchen's life span.

Pairings

Countertops, hardware, and where it fits

Pairs with everything — Calacatta-pattern quartz, marble, granite, brushed brass, polished nickel, matte black, oil-rubbed bronze. The safest neutral choice for resale-minded remodels across Palm Beach County.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Highland White Shaker

Is Highland White Shaker a true white or warm white?

A clean neutral white with no strong warm or cool undertone — closer to a true white than the cream-toned Pearl White Shaker.

How are Highland White Shaker drawers and hinges built?

Per the Highland American Face Framed catalog, drawers are dovetail boxes with 1/2" solid-wood sides on full-extension undermount steel soft-close slides — the drawer boxes are removable for easy cleaning. Hinges are 6-way adjustable concealed metal hinges with soft-close. Doors are five-piece full-overlay birch wood on a birch wood face frame, over a 1/2" plywood box with metal L-bracket reinforcement and a 4-1/2" recessed toe kick. Interiors get a clear-coat UV finish.

Will Highland White Shaker show every fingerprint?

Like all white painted finishes, it shows fingerprints more than darker or textured finishes. A soft damp cloth and mild detergent is the right cleaning routine.
