Fabuwood Catalina cabinets — what to know
The style
Why homeowners pick it
Catalina is Fabuwood's clean, modern slab cabinet style for homeowners who want a smooth European look without extra door detail. The flat-panel design keeps the kitchen feeling open, simple, and high-end, which works well in modern homes, condos, and open-concept kitchens throughout Palm Beach County.
Construction
How Catalina is built
Catalina is part of Fabuwood's Illume frameless line. The Illume construction (framed vs. frameless explained) uses EFB/MDF door and drawer fronts, lacquered or resin-coated finishes, Blum concealed soft-close hinges, and Blum Tandembox full-extension metal drawers. The frameless cabinet box gives the kitchen a more streamlined appearance while also helping maximize usable interior space.
South Florida fit
How it works in our climate
For South Florida homes, South Florida Kitchen & Bath Design helps you choose the right Catalina finish based on the layout, natural light, countertop selection, and how modern you want the kitchen to feel. Gloss, matte, and textured finishes all create a different look, so we walk you through the options before the design is finalized.
Pairings
Countertops, hardware, and where it fits
Catalina pairs especially well with quartz, porcelain, and clean-lined waterfall countertops. It is a strong choice for modern kitchen remodels in Boca Raton, Palm Beach Gardens, West Palm Beach condos, and coastal homes where the cabinets should feel sleek instead of heavy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Fabuwood Catalina
Is Fabuwood Catalina good for a South Florida modern kitchen?
Yes — Catalina's frameless Illume construction and lacquered finishes are a frequent specification for modern Palm Beach County renovations. The flat-panel slab door reads cleanly in open-plan kitchens and condos where the cabinetry should not compete with the view.
What hinges and drawer hardware does Fabuwood Catalina use?
Per the Fabuwood Illume specbook, Catalina uses Blum Clip-On Hinges with Blumotion Soft-Close and Quick-Release Technology — six-way adjustable, opening at 110°. Drawers are the Blum Tandembox Deluxe full-extension metal drawer system with concealed Blumotion runners and a 75 lb dynamic load capacity. Catalina ships with a frameless box built on Threespine® Click Technology for tight seams and rigid construction.
What countertops pair best with Fabuwood Catalina?
Quartz and porcelain slabs are the most common pairings — their continuous surface reads consistently with Catalina's flat-panel doors. Marble-look quartz with subtle veining works well against the bright white finishes (Bianco Gloss, Bianco Matte).
