South Florida Kitchen & Bath Design provides kitchen remodeling, bathroom renovations, cabinets, countertops, and full home updates throughout Westlake. We design personalized, post-builder kitchens tailored to your home and lifestyle.
Serving Westlake and Palm Beach County homeowners since 2016.
Westlake homeowners choose South Florida Kitchen & Bath Design because we've worked with the original Minto-village finish package and can walk you through what's typically worth upgrading first. Plywood-box cabinets, full-slab quartzite, panel-ready appliances, and the kind of personalization the original spec didn't include.
Take your Westlake kitchen past the original Minto spec — plywood-box cabinets, full-slab stone, premium hardware, and a layout that finally feels personalized.
Quartzite, full-slab quartz, panel-ready appliances — the materials and finishes the builder didn't include but most Westlake homeowners want.
One designer manages your Westlake upgrade — working with your GC on construction-phase coordination when needed, ARB submittals, and material lead times so the upgrade lands at the right phase.
Cabinet, countertop, and hardware upgrades sequenced around the builder's work so the post-builder kitchen lands cleanly without delaying the rest of the build.
Our remodeling process is designed to make kitchen and bathroom renovations in Westlake feel organized, clear, and stress-free from start to finish.
We start with an in-home Westlake consultation — walk the kitchen and the home, identify what the Minto builder package included, and design the upgrade scope around the layout and finishes you actually wanted.
Precise measurements and layout planning help maximize storage, workflow, lighting, and functionality.
Choose from stock, RTA, semi-custom, and custom cabinets along with quartz, quartzite, granite, marble, and porcelain surfaces.
We create detailed 3D kitchen and bathroom renderings so you can visualize the finished space before installation begins.
Our installation process coordinates cabinetry, countertops, tile, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and finishing details into one cohesive design.
We coordinate cabinet ordering, stone fabrication, and install scheduling around the Minto builder calendar (for new construction) or post-move-in upgrade phases (for completed homes), so the post-builder remodel lands cleanly.

Westlake's neighborhoods — The Meadows, The Woodlands, The Estates, The Pines, Cresswind, Skycove — share builder floor plans and finish packages from the early 2020s. The shared spec means we know exactly what gets traded out first when the original kitchen starts to feel tired: particle-board cabinet boxes replaced with plywood, laminate counters swapped for full-slab quartzite, slide-in 30-inch range upgraded to a wall-oven-and-cooktop split, and a panel-ready Sub-Zero refrigerator integrated.
The floor plans themselves are usually good as-built, so most Westlake work is finish-and-cabinet rather than wall-moving renovation. Permits, plumbing, and electrical stay in your GC's lane — we handle the cabinet, stone, and finish package and coordinate the install around the construction schedule.
We install stock cabinets, RTA cabinets, semi-custom cabinets, and custom cabinetry for kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and built-in storage solutions throughout Westlake. Browse 2026 cabinet trends for current direction. We also fabricate and install quartz, quartzite, granite, and marble countertops in a wide variety of colors and finishes to match both modern and traditional home styles. We offer multiple cabinet options for Westlake homeowners depending on design goals, budget, and project timeline. Westlake new-construction kitchens often benefit from white oak slab fronts, matte black two-tone schemes, large pantry walls, and the kind of larger islands that turn the kitchen into the home's entertaining hub. From affordable stock cabinets and ready-to-assemble cabinets to semi-custom and fully custom cabinetry, we help homeowners choose the right balance between style, storage, and functionality.
Popular cabinet styles include shaker cabinets, slab-front cabinets, coastal contemporary designs, natural wood finishes, painted cabinetry, and modern flat-panel layouts with soft-close drawers and doors. Westlake homes were built with quartz or low-tier granite as standard. The most common upgrade is moving to full-slab quartzite for dramatic veining, or to premium quartz for a calacatta marble look without the maintenance. Porcelain slabs are increasingly popular for waterfall islands in modern Westlake builds. Quartzite offers a more natural appearance with dramatic veining, while porcelain slabs have become increasingly popular in modern South Florida homes.
Each surface has its place. We walk you through how each one performs in a working kitchen or bathroom so you can pick the right material for your home and how you actually use it. We also provide remodeling services for Westlake townhomes and newer planned-community homes throughout The Meadows, The Woodlands, Cresswind, and Skycove — including layout upgrades within builder footprints, modern bathroom updates, and cabinetry designed for the open-plan layouts most Westlake villages share.
Most Westlake kitchen remodels fall between $15,000 and $80,000 depending on cabinet line, countertop material, and the scope of work. Layout-unchanged builder-spec upgrades (new plywood cabinet boxes, quartz or quartzite counters, hardware, lighting) inside the original Minto footprint typically run $22,000 to $45,000; full post-builder remodels with two-tone cabinetry and panel-ready appliances typically run $50,000 to $95,000. We provide a written, itemized estimate before any work begins.
Yes. We offer stock cabinets, ready-to-assemble cabinets, semi-custom cabinetry, and fully custom cabinet solutions depending on project needs and budget.
Yes. We help homeowners select cabinets, countertops, tile, fixtures, hardware, lighting, and finish materials that match the overall design style of the remodel.
Yes. We work throughout Westlake's newer neighborhoods including The Meadows, The Woodlands, The Estates, The Pines, Cresswind, and Skycove. Most projects focus on upgrading builder-grade cabinets, swapping builder-grade granite counters for quartz or quartzite, and improving storage inside the existing layout.
Most interior-only finish updates don't trigger Town Council architectural review. Anything that changes exterior-visible elements (a window relocation, new range hood vent through an exterior wall) does need a submittal. We supply the cabinet, finish, and stone selections your general contractor's package needs either way.
Yes — that's the most common Westlake project. We replace the original builder cabinets with plywood-box construction, upgrade the laminate or low-tier stone counters to quartz or quartzite, swap the slide-in range for a wall-oven-and-cooktop split, and add the panel-ready appliances most Westlake homeowners assumed they were getting. The floor plan stays exactly where it was built.
Westlake kitchens usually run slightly under the typical Palm Beach County timeline because the homes are newer and the structure is sound. Plan a 10-to-14-week window from contract to final install for a typical Westlake project — slightly faster than the older-home equivalent.
The biggest visual upgrade is replacing the builder shaker with white oak slab fronts or a matte black and white oak two-tone — that single change moves the kitchen from generic new-construction to fully personalized. Adding integrated panel-ready appliances (panel-front Sub-Zero, panel-front dishwasher) is the second-biggest visual difference.
Yes — that's the most common Westlake project. We replace the cabinet boxes (plywood-box construction instead of particle board), upgrade the laminate or low-tier stone counters to full-slab quartzite, swap the slide-in range for a wall-oven-and-cooktop split, and add panel-ready appliances. The kitchen footprint stays exactly where Minto built it.
Yes — that's the most common Westlake post-builder remodel. Most Minto-built kitchens have a usable layout already (kitchen island, perimeter cabinets, pantry, range location); what needs upgrading is the actual cabinetry, the countertops, and the appliance package. We pull out the builder-grade particle-board boxes and replace with plywood semi-custom cabinets in the same footprint, swap laminate or basic granite for full-slab quartz or quartzite, change appliances to panel-ready Sub-Zero/Wolf or Thermador, and update lighting and hardware. Typical layout-unchanged upgrades run $22,000-$45,000 and take 6-8 weeks.
Cabinets first, almost always. The original Minto cabinet boxes are typically particle-board with thermofoil or basic painted doors, and they age quickly — chips, swelling near the sink, peeling thermofoil on doors and drawer fronts. Replacing the boxes solves all of that and gives you soft-close drawers, real plywood construction, and the chance to add pull-outs and drawer organizers inside the same footprint. Counters can be swapped later without touching the cabinets if needed. The exception: if the existing builder counter is laminate or visibly damaged, do both at once — pulling cabinets off and back on twice doubles labor cost.
