Our Bathroom Remodel Process

How a Palm Beach County Bathroom Comes Together

A bathroom is a small room with a lot of trades passing through it. We keep the sequence organized so each step is finished before the next one starts.

1. In-Home Consultation

We visit the bathroom anywhere in the county, look at the plumbing and layout, and map out what is realistic for your budget.

2. Selection & Quote

We help you choose tile, vanity, stone top, fixtures, glass, and lighting, then put every item into a written, itemized quote.

3. Measuring & Templating

We measure and template the vanity top, shower curb, and any stone niches so everything fits right the first time.

4. Demo & Rough-In

We remove the old tub, tile, and vanity, rough in plumbing or electrical changes, and waterproof the shower before a single tile goes on.

5. Tile, Stone & Fixtures

Our team sets floor and wall tile, installs the vanity and stone top, sets the toilet and faucets, and hangs the mirror and lighting.

6. Glass & Walkthrough

Frameless glass goes in after the tile has cured, the exhaust fan is tested, and we walk the finished bathroom with you.

One Bathroom Remodeler for All of Palm Beach County

Palm Beach County is big and varied. A master bath in a Boca Raton high-rise sits on a shared plumbing stack, a Wellington family home has a hall bath that three kids share, and a Jupiter waterfront property wants a spa-style shower. Since 2016, owner Andre Allen and our team have remodeled bathrooms from Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Boynton Beach up through West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, and Jupiter, and out to Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, Loxahatchee Groves, and Westlake.

Coastal condos, gated communities, and older single-family homes each come with their own rules. We handle the selections, materials, and coordination so you have one point of contact instead of chasing a plumber, a tile setter, and a glass company.

What It Costs

Palm Beach County Bathroom Remodel Price Tiers

Bathroom remodel pricing in Palm Beach County depends on how much tile you replace, the vanity you choose, and how far the plumbing moves.

Budget Refresh

$5,000 to $12,000

Keep the layout and plumbing in place and upgrade what you see every day: a new vanity and faucet, toilet, mirror, lighting, paint, and tub surround. A strong choice for guest baths and rentals.

Mid-Range Remodel

$12,000 to $30,000

The most common tier for Palm Beach County homeowners. New floor and shower tile, a semi-custom vanity with a stone top, a tub-to-shower conversion or frameless glass shower, new fixtures, updated lighting, and an exhaust fan upgrade.

Luxury Master Bath

$30,000 to $75,000+

Layout changes, large-format porcelain or natural stone, a freestanding tub, an oversized walk-in shower, a custom double vanity with quartzite or marble, and heated floors. Common in Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, and Boca Raton waterfront homes.

What drives the cost

Tile is the largest material cost in most bathrooms, so coverage area and tile choice move the number more than anything else, followed by the vanity and stone top. Moving a toilet, shower, or drain adds real labor, and on the concrete slabs common across the county a drain relocation means cutting the slab. Keeping the existing drain locations is the easiest way to control cost. For full numbers, see the Palm Beach County bathroom remodel cost guide and our breakdown of walk-in shower cost.

Walk-In Showers & Tub Conversions

Walk-In Showers, Frameless Glass, and Tub-to-Shower Conversions

The walk-in shower is the center of most Palm Beach County bathroom remodels. We build it from the pan up: a sloped, fully waterproofed base, tiled walls and floor, a built-in niche, a linear or center drain, and a frameless glass panel measured after the tile is set. Rain heads, handheld sprayers, and a curbless entry are all options.

Tub-to-shower conversions are the most requested project we see. We pull the old tub, run the tile down to the floor, and finish with glass, usually keeping the drain close to where it sits so the plumbing cost stays reasonable. Walk-in shower projects typically run $4,500 to $25,000 depending on size, tile, and glass. See the full walk-in shower cost guide for a line-by-line breakdown.

Vanities & Stone Tops

Vanities from Stock to Custom, with Tops We Fabricate

The vanity sets the look of the bathroom, so we offer the full range. Stock vanities keep costs down for guest baths and rentals. Semi-custom vanities add widths, finishes, and drawer layouts. Fully custom vanities are built to the exact wall, including floating vanities that make a small bathroom feel larger. Read more on floating vanities for Palm Beach County bathrooms.

We fabricate the vanity top in quartz, granite, quartzite, marble, dekton, or porcelain, cut for undermount or vessel sinks with faucet holes drilled to match. Quartz is the most popular choice because it is non-porous and needs no sealing. We can also cut the shower curb and niche shelves from the same slab.

Tile, Plumbing & Lighting

Porcelain Tile, Plumbing Relocation, and Lighting That Works

Porcelain is the tile we recommend for almost every Palm Beach County bathroom. It absorbs almost no water, holds up to daily showers and humidity, and comes in marble, stone, wood, and concrete looks. Large-format porcelain (24x48 and up) means fewer grout lines on shower walls, paired with a small mosaic on the shower floor for grip. For a full comparison, see our guide to the best tile for shower walls.

When the layout needs to change, we relocate plumbing: moving a toilet to open up the vanity wall, shifting a shower drain for a larger enclosure, or adding a second sink. Most of the county sits on concrete slab, so a drain move means cutting the slab, and we price that up front. Lighting gets the same attention: a dimmable overhead fixture, sconces or an LED mirror at face height, and a light in the shower.

Remodeling a Kitchen Too? We Do Those As Well

Many homeowners update the kitchen and a bathroom in the same project. The same quartz or quartzite can run across the counters and the vanity tops, and you deal with one schedule instead of two. Florida-specific details

Humidity, Ventilation, Condos, and Timelines

Palm Beach County humidity is why so many older bathrooms here have mildew behind the tile. A remodel is the right time to fix the cause. We install exhaust fans sized for the room, at least 50 CFM for a bathroom under 100 square feet, and duct them outside rather than into the attic. Pair that with porcelain tile and a fully waterproofed shower and the bathroom stays dry. A proper fan upgrade usually adds $300 to $800.

In condos we plan around the shared plumbing stack and slab, which limit how far a drain can move, and in 55-plus communities we build a lot of curbless showers, comfort-height toilets, and grab bars that look like part of the design. A refresh that keeps the layout takes about 2 to 4 weeks. A full remodel with new tile, a new shower, and plumbing or electrical changes takes about 4 to 8 weeks. Se habla espanol.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About Palm Beach County Bathroom Remodeling

How much does a bathroom remodel cost in Palm Beach County?

Most Palm Beach County bathroom remodels fall into three ranges. A budget refresh runs about $5,000 to $12,000 and keeps the layout while replacing the vanity, faucet, toilet, mirror, lighting, and paint. A mid-range remodel, the most common tier, runs $12,000 to $30,000 and covers new tile, a semi-custom vanity with a stone top, a tub-to-shower conversion or frameless glass shower, new fixtures, and an exhaust fan upgrade. Luxury master baths run $30,000 to $75,000 and up for layout changes, premium stone, a freestanding tub, and an oversized walk-in shower. We provide a written, itemized estimate before any work begins.

How long does a bathroom remodel take?

A refresh that keeps the layout usually takes about 2 to 4 weeks of on-site work. A full remodel with new tile, a new shower, and plumbing or electrical changes takes 4 to 8 weeks once materials arrive. Add 2 to 4 weeks up front for measuring, selections, and ordering. Condo and HOA projects can run a little longer because of association approvals and elevator scheduling.

Can you convert my bathtub into a walk-in shower?

Yes. Tub-to-shower conversions are one of the most requested bathroom projects across Palm Beach County. We remove the tub, build a sloped and waterproofed shower pan, tile the walls and floor, and finish with a frameless glass panel or door. In most homes the drain stays close to its existing location, which keeps the cost down. A curbless entry is a popular option for easier access long term.

What vanity countertop materials do you fabricate and install?

We fabricate and install vanity tops in granite, quartz, quartzite, marble, dekton, and porcelain. Quartz is the most popular choice for Palm Beach County bathrooms because it is non-porous and needs no sealing. Marble and quartzite give a natural stone look for master baths, and dekton and porcelain offer a large-format modern look that also works for shower walls.

Do you remodel bathrooms in condos and HOA communities?

Yes. We remodel bathrooms in coastal condos, gated communities, 55-plus communities, and single-family neighborhoods throughout Palm Beach County. For condo and HOA projects we handle the renovation application, certificate of insurance, elevator scheduling, and approved work hours, and we plan around shared plumbing stacks and slab construction. Se habla espanol.

Do I need a permit for a bathroom remodel in Palm Beach County?

It depends on the scope. Like-for-like swaps such as a new vanity on the same drain or new tile in the same shower pan usually do not need a permit. Moving plumbing, changing electrical circuits, or altering walls does, and the fee for a typical Palm Beach County bathroom runs about $150 to $400 plus inspections. Cities such as Boca Raton and West Palm Beach run their own building departments. We confirm what your project needs and include it in the estimate.
